We have a lot to be thankful for this year and are so proud that our employees teamed up with us to give back and bring a Merry Christmas to 100 local children. We have happily partnered with the Salvation Army Angel Tree program for over 10 years. To learn more or contribute to this great cause please click here.
We added a DOT entrance to the front side of the Chick-fil-A on Wells Road in Florida. This improvement allowed more access and improved traffic flow through the drive thru. It has been reported that this increased sales by 17 percent as well.
As a thank you for their hard work and dedication, the ladies of R. A. Heath and subsidiaries were treated to an evening away from the office. The outing included painting, hula hoops, 70's music, and wine & cheese. Our gracious hostess, Bunni, at Masterpiece Mixers led a fun and relaxing class. Everyone had a great time and got to bring home self-made works of art!
Many employees participated in the Flowery Branch High School Peer Leadership Color Race for Grace on Saturday April 15 sponsored by R. A. Heath Construction and many other local companies. Several employees placed in their divisions - congratulations! The weather more than cooperated, it was sunny with mild temperatures, perfect for being active outside. As much as the students enjoyed throwing colors on the racers, it is still worth giving them a kudos for all their hard work to put on a successful event raising money and awareness for a cause they feel passionate about!
A special note from the Director of Operations, RAH North Office -
“Cubs Fans, a one, a two………………………….”
I just wanted to send out a Quick Note to the team and show everyone the store we just delivered at Wrigley Field.
Just found this nugget on Starbucks Website, CLICK HERE:
MAJOR Props are in order for the team that delivered this project.
Project Manager - for dealing with the constant changes and pressure that comes with a project of this magnitude
Superintendent - for stepping into a difficult job midstream and delivering a beautiful store, in spite of every design change
ALL of the members of the North Office Field Crew – without your help and dedication there is no way we could have delivered this store
As a team, the store you’ve built exemplifies the core values of the company and turned out amazing, even with every challenge thrown at us! Guys take a bow, you deserve it!
A group of employee outdoor enthusiasts planned a camping trip to Hazel Creek, NC. It is a very isolated creek filled with undisturbed trout making it a great location to get away and do some fly fishing. Not only was it a team building adventure but it provided some quiet time in nature away from the office. They also enjoyed a ferry trip across the river, hiking, hot dogs roasted over the camp fire, and a peaceful night sleeping under the canopy of the woods.
Recently the Operations Manager of our casework division received a special distinction in his “part-time” job in the United States Air Force Reserves. On 8 January 2017, Major McConnell accepted Command of the 94th Maintenance Squadron at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Marietta, GA. He has been proudly serving on both active and reserve duty since 2007 and was reassigned to Dobbins after an assignment at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in North Carolina where he was an Aircraft Maintenance Officer. He takes Command of a unit with over 150 maintenance personnel and the responsibility of maintaining the assigned C-130H aircraft. We are so proud of his accomplishment as he serves both our company and this great nation!
In order to better serve our customers needs, we added a 4000 sq. ft. mezzanine to increase our warehouse capacity. This improves our ability to receive, inspect, store, and deliver owner provided items for our projects as well as more organized inventory with common materials required for servicing our customers' facilities. This increases our total warehousing space to over 12,000 sq. ft.
The Buford office staff are enjoying a mildly renovated and enhanced upstairs work space. Our subsidiary, Commercial Casework Industries, designed and built these beautiful wood and steel partitions and matching cubicles. The design allowed for natural light to enter the space while keeping the area open and clean. Staff and visitors alike offer many compliments on the renovated space.
